Celebrating its 20th birthday in 2015 the DS Trainer continues to be an incredibly stable yet cushioned lightweight trainer. An upper with minimal stitching and reduced material overlays, this shoe is lightweight, breathable and comfortable. A strengthened Clutch Counter in the rear-foot, medially placed DuoMax, Guidance Line and Trusstic all offer more protection via improved gait efficiency. Both rear-foot and forefoot GEL units dampen impact forces acting on the lower limb whilst the re-introduction of DuoSole results in advanced lightweight traction.  Lastly, this seasons model has an impressive 20g weight reduction.

- Clutch Counter - External heel counter to improve fit and comfort while remaining lightweight

- Dynamic DuoMax - An upgrade of the current DuoMax system by distributing local pressure proportionally to increase stability while providing improved comfort

- Guidance Trusstic - This new Trusstic System integrates Guidance Line construction providing enhanced gait efficiency and structural integrity to the midfoot.

- Rear-foot & Forefoot GEL Cushioning - Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

- AHAR - ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber on the outersole. Helps cut down on excessive wear

- AHAR Ride+ - AHAR Ride+ is an advanced outsole material with virtually the same lightness and grip properties as ASICS conventional rubber, with the advantage of being three times more durable

- 3M Reflectivity - Contains reflective materials designed to enhance visibility during low-light hours

- Solyte Midsole - Midsole material, lighter than ASICS standard EVA and SpEVA + improve cushioning & durability

- Discrete Eyestay Lacing - A part of biomorphic, a new lacing system that uses independent placed eyelets. This evens the lacing tension across the foot, creating a customised fit and enhanced upper comfort
