This bat has been pressed at the Gray Nicolls factory, and a laminated bat facing has been applied to the face. Fibreglass tape has also been applied to the edges. Therefore you do not need to fully "knock-In" this bat, but you should treat it to some net practise using an old ball, before your first game.

The bat facing is laminate wood. That is, it is not clear and see-through.
