The new GEL-Pulse 6 has been designed for neutral runners who tend to experience a loss of control at the time of load transference during midstance. This profile wearer, therefore, requires a stable platform from which to propel forward during "toe off”. A new exposed rearfoot GEL unit enhances shock attenuation at the time of ground contact whilst a Twist GEL unit under the forefoot dampens impact forces during propulsion. Recent changes to midsole construction result in greater flexibility under the forefoot which functions to enhance Windlass mechanics. This, when combined with a full length Guidance Line and a Guidance Trusstic, aims to make the foot more efficient when in contact with the ground.
